Michael LaVoie is a New York based Director of Photography.  A graduate of the film program at SUNY Purchase in 2000.

"As a DP it is my job to ensure that the directors vision of the script is faithfully represented on the screen.  Toward that end I am there to provide opinions when asked and to offer technical guidance. I believe that if there is an option to shoot on film, it is absolutely worth the money. The lenses are far superior and the resolution and exposure latitude is much greater. There is a unique texture to film that is evident in movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Lost in Translation. "
